FISHING TECHNIQUES

FLY FISHING

Besides being a fun way to fish, fly fishing is the perfect method for catching Sea Bass, even larger ones. For wading and kayak fishing, we suggest using a 9ft rod for line #6-7, while a 9ft rod for line #7-8 is ideal for fishing from a Neptvn or a traditional boat. For wading

and kayak fishing, we use floating lines only, although with the boat you can use both floating and intermediate lines or lines with a slow-sinking tip. You can use poppers and streamers that imitate small preys, as well as crab pattern flies. A wide range of the most effective lures will always be available for you to choose from.

SPIN FISHING

Spin fishing allows you to entice all the predatory fish that live in the lagoon and the areas bordering the open sea. For wading and kayak fishing, 7ft rods with 10-20g casting, combined with light and compact reels spooled with 18-20lb braided line, are ideal.

To fish for Sea Bass and Bluefish from a boat, we recommend to use 7-7.6ft rods with 20-50g casting, combined with reels spooled with 30-40lb braided line. Leerfish fishing requires more powerful tackle, so you’ll need 8ft rods with 60-100g casting combined with reels spooled with 50lb braided line. It’s possible to use a wide range of lures including long jerk, minnow, popper, walking the dog, lipless, crankbait, and rubber shads. You’ll always have a wide selection of the most effective lures to choose from.
