FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA

MORE THAN JUST FISHING

MORE THAN FISHING

For anglers who’d like to spend some more time relaxing, and also for their families, there’s no shortage of things to do in Friuli Venezia Giulia! There are five UNESCO World Heritage sites here, including the beautiful cities of Aquileia and Cividale del Friuli. Collio and Colli Orientali are two of the most important wine-growing areas in Europe, idyllic grapevine-filled hills where you can enjoy tastings at local wineries, or why not discover the traditional Friulian cuisine in a local restaurant? The region boasts 13 nature reserves, four of which are located within the Marano-Grado Lagoon: Foci dello Stella, Valle Canal Novo, Valle Cavanata, and Isola della Cona, forming the ideal habitat for over 320 different bird species. Last but not least, the region’s beaches offer plenty of modern, welcoming facilities ready to host tourists from all over the world.
